Honey:CinMy grandson has had a stuffy, runny nose for about a week now. He seems normal as he is still a happy go-lucky guy and always wants to have a good time, running, jumping, climbing everywhere. We did take him golfing Wednesday afternoon and it was lovely and sunny but I felt a chill in the air. He would not keep his sweatshirt on. I would make him put it on and then a few minutes later it was off again. This happened many times. That night, he had some difficulty sleeping due to being so stuffed up. He did not miss any school however, as he didn’t feel sick.

Today, he has a cough and it seems quite deep. My daughter texted me to “if you want to bring any concoctions, potions or spells, haha”. I knew I had some remedies in my trusty Evernotes. I typed in the word “cough” and up came the cinnamon and honey remedies. There are many but I wanted the one for coughs and colds. There it was: COLDS: Those suffering from common or severe cJoe - Cougholds should take one tablespoon lukewarm honey with 1/4 spoon cinnamon powder daily for 3 days. This process will cure most chronic cough, cold and clear the sinuses.

I was already on my way over there to get some vegetables from the garden, so I figured I would tell her about this.

She was busy so I asked her where her honey and cinnamon was. She told me and I proceeded to measure the 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon and added one tablespoon of raw honey. I mixed them well and handed it to my grandson. He was in heaven. He loves his honey.

It will be interesting to see if it works. Here’s hoping!!
