I found this incredibly interesting. It certainly would be better than taking Prozac!

Saffron fights depression in humans, as well as improving learning and memory in animals. Saffron twice daily was as effective as Prozac in treating mild to moderate depression, according to a 2005 study in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology.

    taking 30 milligrams of Saffron a day taken for 6 weeks has the same depression reducing properties as 20 milligrams of fluoxetine (Prozac). Good luck and let me know.

    I read an article the other day about how all the popular stars have panic attacks or anxiety before they perform. It really shocked me as to some of the big names like Lil Wayne and Miley Cyrus. I’ve been having attacks for a while now, and I know if they can get over them and perform in front of millions of people then surely to god I can get over my little attacks too.

    whenever I feel depressed,I take 15mg (red 100%pure)saffron and it alleviates my mood within 30mins.usually I take 2 times a day.I’ve diagnosed with depression n gad.20mg/day fluoxetine is prescribed by psychiatrist to me,though I’m not taking it bcoz of potential side effects.
    I’m also trying 30min of sun bath,fish oil capsules and multi-vitamins(supradyn).
